And away we go

So I have been hearing all the stories about "mommy blogging" lately and it got me to thinking. Those women are way too lucky. They can save a fortune on therapy by writing about the everyday stuff that happens in their family life. So I figure I have enough stuff to share, so I will.

I am a normal dad. I watch baseball and hockey, pretend to know about the NFL, and drink beer. I bought my son a baseball glove, get his hair cut almost military short, and get a sense of pride when he wants to look at Marvel comics.

However I guess you could say I am not a normal husband, because I do a majority of the cooking, cleaning, and when needed, dye and cut my wife's hair. I watch a lot of DIY and Discovery Home, and actually enjoy the shows where a team comes in and cleans your house, and redesigns it. In fact, I keep hoping they will show up here, but have my doubts. I enjoy shopping at stores like Linens and Things, The Container Store, and looking at paint colors.

So with all that in mind, don't judge too harshly when I put things down here. I am not doing this for any other reason that to have reference materials when CPS shows up. Oh and I might use it as a reminder that I want dark brown leather sofas, not black.
